see 2016 SR nomination The Connecticut Light & Power Company was incorporated in 1917 to provide power to Connecticut residents and businesses, and was among the first to do so. The company built over twenty service centers which were responsible for maintenance of lines, substations, transformers and other equipment in their respective service areas. The Greenwich facility was designed in 1927 and built in 1928. It functioned through to 2014.

The building is a brick and concrete flat roof Art Deco service building and warehouse. Widow bays are recessed, and brick pilasters sit on cast stone bases and are terminated in stylized capitals of cast stone. Original windows were steel frame five over four with pivoting sash.
