Historic Narrative

Manufacturers of Drill Chucks Arthur I Jacobs (b.1858) patented the 'Jacobs Improved Drill Chuck' in 1902, and incorporated Jacobs Manufacturing Co. in 1903. Occupied leased space initially, building factory on Park Street c.1917. The firm he started remains in business today as Jacobs Chuck, part of Apex Tool Group (location unknown).
