Roughly 76.
1916-1917.
This development was built as worker housing during the First World War by the American Brass Co. (#3538, #3499). The project was one of the first examples of wartime industrial housing erected in the city and it was developed concurrent to additional efforts conducted locally by the Scovill Mfg. Co. The development was initiated in 1916 and plans originally called for 52 six-room dwellings, however, the project was eventually expanded to bring the total to roughly 76 two-story single-family dwellings. The buildings are of wood-frame construction and display a mix of Tudor, Colonial Revival, and Craftsman forms.
