Brief Description
Associated with the New York Net and Twine Co.’s Falls Mill. Consists of eight single- and multi-family wood-frame houses located along Falls Bashan Road, immediately south of its intersection with Falls Road. These include 78, 80, 84, 86, 88, 90, 91 and 92 Falls Bashan Road, which were identified as being the property of the New York Net and Twine Co. on an 1874 map of East Haddam. Three of the houses (80, 84, and 86 Falls Bashan Road) are nearly identical two-story, front-gabled, single-family, vernacular style residences, while two (90 and 92 Falls Bashan Road) are duplexes. The house at 91 Falls Bashan Road was identified as the New York Net and Twine Co.’s office on a 1935 Sanborn map yet previously served as a residence and does so again at the present time.
