Consists of eight single- and multi-family residential buildings identified as the property of the Redfield and Rice Co. on an 1874 map of the area. The houses are located north of the former mill site and consist of the three wood-frame single-family vernacular residences with front-facing gable roofs at 19, 31, and 37 Willow Street; the three wood-frame single-family Italianate cottages at 4, 14, 22, and 28 Willow Street; and the wood-frame and stucco four-family vernacular tenement at 1 Harwinton Avenue.
