Historic Narrative

The Wiffle Ball was invented by David N. Mullany in 1953 in his Fairfield, CT, back yard with his son. After trying out many prototypes, the company settled on the current design with eight oblong holes on one side of the ball. The Wiffle Ball was inducted into the Toy Hall of Fame in 2017.
